Melissa Vaupel

International Correspondent

Melissa Vaupel is an International Correspondent with a global background in media/journalism, film production, public speaking and business. She studied at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts and holds a double master’s degree in International Business and Management.

Having resided in Duesseldorf, London, Rotterdam, Dublin, Sydney, Hong Kong, Austin, New York, and Boston - Melissa’s career is shaped by a deeply international perspective. Raised bilingually in German and Chinese, she later became fluent in English and Dutch while living abroad.

Melissa works at Awards Focus with a focus on Below the Line Talent. Beyond journalism, her on-set experience includes studio productions including Disney’s Disenchanted (2022), Netflix’s Vikings: Valhalla (2022), and Disney's Grey's Anatomy (2025). Melissa currently resides in Hollywood with a passion for international talent and film making.
