On Tuesday morning, the Television Academy revealed the nominees for the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards live from the Wolf Theatre at the TV Academy’s Saban Media Center in North Hollywood. The announcement was led by “What We Do in the Shadows” star Harvey Guillén, “Running Points” lead Brenda Song, and Television Academy Chair Cris Abrego.
As always, the nominations brought a mix of returning heavyweights and buzzy newcomers. In the Drama Series category, HBO’s sharp and sprawling “The White Lotus” secured a top spot alongside Netflix’s coming-of-age powerhouse “Adolescence” and Hulu’s moody mystery “Paradise”. On the comedy side, Emmy darling “The Bear” continues its dominance for FX, joined by HBO Max’s beloved “Hacks” and Apple’s meta “The Studio”, proving that sharp writing and ensemble casts still reign supreme.
From exciting first-time nominees to long-overdue recognition for fan-favorite performers, this year’s Emmy class reflects a wide range of storytelling styles, tonal shifts, and platforms. Across drama, comedy, and limited series, the 2025 nominations show an evolving television landscape that embraces both risk-taking and nostalgia.
We’ll be updating this page throughout the day with reactions from nominees across categories—sharing the excitement, gratitude, and disbelief straight from the talent and creatives behind your favorite shows.

Playing Francise Cobb was a great delicious blessing top to bottom. Lauren LeFranc led us with such challenging and perfectly calibrated writing. All of our directors came with into the game with real curiosity about how much unpredictable messy life we could pack into this operatic tale. And my perfect ,wild ,fearless, loving partners in crime Colin, Cristin and Rhenzy made anything possible every day. For all of the darkness and violence we had to live inside of there was a real sense of glee on that set. And enormous love.
That the world gets such a bang out of what we made is a wonderful and added bonus.”

I am endlessly grateful for HBO Max’s support, and beyond thrilled for Colin, Cristin, and Deirdre, whose work on The Penguin is nothing short of astounding. It has been a genuine pleasure making eight episodes with the kindest, most talented, and fiercely passionate cast and crew, and I look forward to trading in our heated vests and winter coats for something a touch classier, and ideally with fewer layers. One last hurrah. “We did it, Ma.”
Kim Rosenstock and Elizabeth Meriweather (Executive Producers, Writers), Dying for Sex – Outstanding Limited Or Anthology Series
“We are so grateful to the Television Academy for the nine Emmy nominations for Dying for Sex! And endless gratitude goes out to our writers, casting team, our talented, hardworking NY crew and our brilliant director, Shannon Murphy.
We share these nominations with our partners: Katherine Pope, FX, Wondery, and our studio, 20th Television, which has been a creative home for both of us for over 15 years.
We couldn’t have made this show without the support and trust of Nikki Boyer whose dedication to telling her best friend’s story is nothing short of heroic.
And of course any recognition of this show honors the memory of Molly Kochan, who bravely documented her experience with unflinching honesty in order to shine a light on what it feels like to live, love and dom with metastatic breast cancer.”

“I’m honored that the Academy has included my performance in this year’s nominations, and I’m elated to see Michelle Williams, Rob Delaney, Liz Meriweather and Kim Rosenstock and Shannon Murphy on this list, as they deserve endless celebration for their gorgeous work, and generally they are all perfect sweethearts. To be able to call the real, shining Nikki Boyer (before I called my own parents) and say to her, “None of us would be here without you, Nikki,” was such a thrill, and it is also the real truth. I should get a T-shirt made with Jeanie Bacharach and Jessica Daniels’ faces on it. Thank you to my caring and smart representatives, to FX, Hulu, and 20th Century Fox. I’ll say “thank you” forever, and mean it more and more with every new round of gratitude.”
