Today, nominations were announced for the 32nd Annual Actor Awards (previously the Screen Actors Guild Awards), honoring outstanding individual and ensemble performances across film and television. Presented by SAG-AFTRA, the ceremony will stream live globally on Netflix on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall. Legendary actor Harrison Ford will receive the prestigious SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award.

Initial Observations

Films “One Battle After Another”, “Sinners”, “Hamnet”, “Marty Supreme” and “Frankenstein” continue strong Awards Season showings with multiple nominations across acting categories. On the television side, “The Studio” and “Adolescence” will go in as favorites for multiple awards off the backs of strong Critics Choice and Emmy showings. Netflix’s “The Beast in Me”, one of the newer shows to emerge in awards conversation earned nods for both Matthew Rhys and Claire Danes.

One of the headline stories is Jesse Plemons earning a deserved nomination for “Bugonia” in Best Actor in a Leading Role. That nod appears to come at the expense of Wagner Moura (“The Secret Agent”) and Joel Edgerton (“Train Dreams”), who will likely sit atop this year’s “snubbed” conversation. In television, Katherine LaNasa (“The Pitt”) is notably missing in the Best Actress, Drama category despite Critics Choice and Emmy wins.

Below is the full nomination breakdown for motion picture and television categories.
