Diane Warren Pens Backstreet Boys Song for Solstice Studios’ ‘Joe Bell’ David Derks January 6, 2021 Emerging Upstart Solstice Studios will release the Reinaldo Marcus Green-directed drama scripted “Joe Bell” by the Oscar-winning “Brokeback Mountain” team of Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana. The film will feature the track “Footprints” written specifically for the film by award-winning prolific songwriter Diane Warren. The song will be performed by 90’s sensation, the Backstreet Boys. Warren recently penned “Here’s to the Nights” for ex-Beatle Ringo Starr for his upcoming EP “Zoom In.” Set to arrive on March 19th, the song will feature Paul McCartney, Finneas, Lenny Kravitz, Sheryl Crow and other all-star guests. Based on the true story, “Joe Bell” featured Mark Wahlberg as working-class father who embarks on a solo walk across the U.S. to crusade against bullying after his gay teenage son, Jadin (Reid Miller), is tormented in high school. “Joe Bell” is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green (“Monsters and Men” and the forthcoming “King Richard”) from an original screenplay by Diana Ossana and Larry McMurtry, the Oscar winning writing team from “Brokeback Mountain.” Connie Britton and Gary Sinise also star. “Joe Bell” is the second theatrical release for Solstice Studios following “Unhinged,” which was directed by Derrick Borte, written by Carl Ellsworth and starred Russell Crowe.
